Cherry Spoon 4

$36.00
sold out

Inspired by traditional Scandinavian designs, with an almost heraldic shape to the handle, this six and three-quarter inch (17cm) table spoon is a well proportional utensil. Perfectly suited for soups, stews or cereal.

Add a touch of nature to your daily routine with this spoon. This cherry wood has been carved so that the tree’s growth rings have been revealed as concentric circles in the bowl. Flip the spoon over and the ridged handle creates a chevron pattern with the grain.

Pure flaxseed oil has been used to seal the wood while leaving the subtle colours and patterns of the grain visible.

Made, not manufactured, this spoon was handmade with simple hand tools. The wood came from an urban cherry tree felled in Madison, WI.

Buying this spoon helps save urban trees from just being burnt or chipped. The tree gets to live on in your home, providing you with a unique utensil you can use everyday.
